Little Wins, Loud Love
Hi friends,
It’s been a while again. Just about a week or maybe a little more.
I’ve been unwell recently. I caught a cold and had to take things slow while recovering. Unfortunately, my baby caught it too, so we’ve both been resting, healing, and taking things one step at a time.
Because of that, I had to take a short break from coding. My Python journey slowed down a bit, but that’s okay. Health comes first.
Even with all of that, there have been a lot of moments that made me smile.
It’s also Easter break, and spending time with family has been really special. I’m grateful to have my husband around for a few weekdays, helping out with the baby and just being present. That quality time means a lot.
Easter also reminds me of love and sacrifice. It’s a time that makes me reflect on loving selflessly and doing my best for the people around me.
Now, back to my little highlights.
One of them was an April Fools’ prank.
I randomly decided to prank my siblings and my mom by pretending I was pregnant again. At first, I wasn’t even planning to prank anyone. I was just bored and thought, why not?
So I called my sister and said, “What if we tell everyone I’m pregnant again?”
She was hesitant, but we went ahead with it.
We made it look real and got everyone involved. The plan was simple. Once they believed it, we would reveal it together and say “April Fools.”
And it worked.
We got them.
But what really stayed with me wasn’t the prank. It was their reactions.
The concern, the love, the different ways they responded, it meant so much to me.
My mom was worried and wished she was closer so she could help take care of me and the baby.
My cousin was encouraging and tried to make me feel strong about it.
One of my siblings was genuinely upset, thinking about how it would affect my career.
It made me realise how much love I have around me, even from afar.
And honestly, that meant everything.
Another big highlight was my baby starting to crawl.
I’ve been waiting for that moment, and it finally happened. I even managed to capture it on camera. She was trying to reach her pacifier, and it kept slipping away while she moved closer and closer to it.
It was such a beautiful moment.
We celebrate progress here, no matter how small. Today it’s crawling. Tomorrow it will be walking, talking, and so much more.
On the learning side, I’m slowly getting back into Python.
Last week, I covered the basics. What Python is, how to print, variables, functions, and a bit of lists and arrays. I’ll admit, I jumped ahead a little at first. That’s just how I learn sometimes.
It’s a bit chaotic, but it works for me.
This time, though, I’m trying to be more structured and take things step by step.
I’ve also been preparing for interviews by watching system design tutorials on YouTube whenever I can. I’m learning a lot, and hopefully I’ll be able to share some of those insights here soon.
Job applications are still ongoing.
I may not be able to apply as much as I used to before becoming a mom, but I’m staying consistent. Even if it’s just a few applications a day, it still counts.
I’m not giving up.
I’m also exploring a small side hustle, but I’ll share more about that when I feel ready.
For now, this is just a little life update.
I’m hoping to be back here again before the week ends.
Thank you for being here.
