A Month of Growth, Gratitude, and Questions
Hi friends,
It’s been a while. About two or three weeks since I last posted here, but I’m back.
I just wanted to unwind a bit and share how this month has been for me so far.
This month has been special in many ways. It’s a time that celebrates women, with both Mother’s Day and International Women’s Day. For me, it has felt even more meaningful because I am now experiencing it as a mom.
My daughter also turned six months this month, which is such a big milestone for us. We celebrated in a simple way with half a cake, but it meant everything.
At the same time, it hasn’t been easy.
Living in a different country without close family or friends nearby has been challenging. There are no extra hands to help, no one to step in when things get overwhelming. It’s just me, with the support of my husband, doing our best every day.
It can be stressful and exhausting, but we are grateful. We wouldn’t trade her for anything in the world, and we are learning to enjoy the journey, one day at a time.
Career-wise, it has been a bit of a slow season. I have been applying for roles and putting myself out there, but it hasn’t gone exactly as I hoped.
At some point, I found myself asking questions. Are companies still hiring for tech roles? With everything happening around AI, is the landscape changing faster than we can keep up with?
But then I look around. I see people starting new roles, joining companies like AWS and Google. Opportunities are still there. It just means I have to stay consistent and keep going.
One thing I’ve started doing differently is showing up more, even in small ways. I’ve been engaging on LinkedIn, commenting on posts, sharing my thoughts, and contributing where I can. It may seem small, but it feels like progress.
And so far, I’m enjoying it.
I’m taking things one step at a time and trying to stay consistent, even here on this blog.
Hopefully, I’ll be back again before a week passes.
Thank you for being here.
